6D5N, sounds a little too long to explore a place? For Kaohsiung, not at all.
You probably need at least 2-week to explore the entire beauty of Kaohsiung itself. Trust me, Kaohsiung is such a mesmerising place that has so much to offers to every type of traveler from around the world. In my case, as a Malaysian. Malaysian used to travel to Taiwan via direct flight to Taipei and always reluctant to travel to the south and north of Taiwan due to the travel journey via train/bus that somewhat time consuming. DAY 1:
Arrived Kaohsiung International Airport.
Depart to Pingtung.
Check in to Kentington Resort & Hotel Tour.
Kenting Night Market.
DAY 2:
Explore Kenting region.

Visit AMANDA Hotel (亚曼达拉巴特会馆). Lunch at Essaouira Restaurant 索维拉餐厅
National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (屏东海洋生物博物馆)
Visit Qing Quan Hot Spring Villa (with dessert tasting too!)
Baisha Bay (白沙灣)
Sunset at Guan Mountain "Guanshan" (關山)
Check in to Ever Spring Eco Farm (恒春生态休闲农场)
Firefly Watching experience at night.
DAY 3:
Depart to Kaohsiung town.
Da Peng Bay National Scenic Area 大鵬灣 (Fresh oysters and river cruise!)
Visit Orient Resort Penbay (東方渡假酒店)
Lunch at Donggang City
Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum 美濃客家文物館 (DIY souvenirs!)
Cihsan Old Street and Train station (旗山區)
Dinner at Kaohsiung
Check in Kaohsiung International Plaza Hotel (高雄國際會館)
DAY 4:
Explore Kaohsiung City.
Cijin District 旗津区(Cijin Seaside Park - Cijin Lighthouse - Cijin Island Ferry Pier)
Ciaotou Ten Drum Cultural Park (十鼓文化公园) - Lunch
Dinner at Liu's Traditional Juancun Food (劉家酸菜白肉火鍋)
Shopping at New Jue Jiang (新崛江) and Yu Zhu Shang Quan (玉竹商圈) area.
DAY 5:
Fo Guang Shan Monastery (佛光山) - Lunch
The Pier-2 Art Centre (駁二藝術特區大義倉庫)
Dessert at Gushan Ferry Pier
Sunset at Martyrs' Shrine (烈士神社)
Dinner at Banana Pier
Kaohsiung MRT Station (R8 Meili Dao 美麗島站 )
Liu He Night Market (六合夜市)
DAY 6:
Breakfast at local cafe. Depart to Kuala Lumpur.
